Agnes Water Rugby League Club to benefit from the QGC Sustainable Communities Fund. Members of the Agnes Water Marlins are delighted to have secured a grant to further enhance their home ground at Anderson Way, Agnes Water. The unveiling of this awesome project occurred at the home game on 28 June, with the main game between the Marlins and the Magpies providing the bumper crowd with plenty of entertainment on the day. The next local Agnes Water competition will be a mixed doubles event. Please line up a partner and nominate. Format will be round robin and you will have plenty of time to play your matches. The next junior masters tournaments are Gladstone, 16-17 August, and Gayndah, 30-31 August. The format is an 18 hole ambrose event with registration at 9am for a 9:30am shotgun start, all players must have a current GA handicap. The 1770 Festival has won the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Zonal Tourism Awards for ‘Most Significant Event”. In 2009 the 1770 Festival was also inducted into the Tourism Hall of Fame for the Rockhampton, Gladstone and Bundaberg Tourism Regional Area.
