The 1770 Ladies Open is on Monday 11th August, an 18 hole single stroke handicapped and graded event open to all lady golfers with a current GA handicap. Saturday’s single stableford competition was won by Ray Crawford with a great round of 43 points to lose a shot off his handicap. The 1770 Festival has won the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Zonal Tourism Awards for ‘Most Significant Event”. In 2009 the 1770 Festival was also inducted into the Tourism Hall of Fame for the Rockhampton, Gladstone and Bundaberg Tourism Regional Area.
