It Doesn’t Get Much Closer

by Coastal Rag on Sep 23, 2014

It was the perfect build up for the final event in the Wide Bay Dragon Boat Regatta series. Team 1770 had two wins and a runner up from three starts, and key rivals, Bundaberg had one win and two runner up results. Hervey Bay was the final destination and all four teams were keen and on the beach at Torquay early last Saturday. Continue reading →

Free Energy Home

Free Energy Home

by Solar Man on Sep 22, 2014

The one problem with solar power is that the sun does not shine at night and for free energy home. The technology that exists now does to account for this and therefore more research needs to be done to find ways of storing energy during the day so that we can use solar energy as a full energy source, so fossil fuels are not required at all and we can have a green, clean and free environment. Disadvantages of Wind Energy

Disadvantages of Wind Energy

by Solar Man on Sep 22, 2014

It has actually been said that commercial wind turbines make so much noise that they are often compared to the noise that a jet plane makes. With wind energy you may get rid of environmental pollution but you are stuck with another pollution instead noise pollution. Continue reading →

Disadvantages Of Solar Power

Disadvantages Of Solar Power

by Solar Man on Sep 19, 2014

One of the major disadvantages of solar energy currently is the fact that there are not enough solar technologies developed at the moment to fully supply the energy needs of the globe’s inhabitants. There are some technologies such as solar collectors that can help with supplying some energy to your home such as solar powered hot water systems and solar power heaters for your swimming pool. But these technologies are very limited in the amount of power that can be supplied to your house. Continue reading →

Alternative Wind Energy

Alternative Wind Energy

by Solar Man on Sep 19, 2014

Wind power has been used as a mode of energy for many centuries using windmills for grinding grains in Egypt and pumping water in China. However, the first windmills that used alternative wind energy were the turbines used in Europe in the middle of the 20th century. The windmills of yesteryear work on a similar principle to the wind turbines used on wind farms today. Continue reading →

Clean Renewable Energy

Clean Renewable Energy

by Solar Man on Sep 19, 2014

Clean renewable energy sources are preferred over non-renewable resources as they are continually replenished. On top of all this, most renewable energy sources do not involve the emission of greenhouse gases. This is a big plus because it means that global warming and carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced ten fold. Scientists and Climatologists want us to make the most of the energy sources that nature has given to us since the beginning of time. Continue reading →
